Well the Dems got their scalp, Zinke is leaving at the end of the year. Trump let it be known that his replacement will continue to open up public lands to mining and other development so the enviros failed on that point. The only question is what does it mean for importing African trophies into the U. S. ?

Many people of position are abandoning ship within the Trump administration. Makes me wonder what's going on?
One thing I don't like about the Republican party, is they have no killer instinct. They let themselves get pushed around by the Leftist riff raff. Despite Trumps quirkiness, I like the fact that he is not afraid of banging heads.

INTERIOR SECRETARY RYAN ZINKE TO LEAVE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION
    DECEMBER 15, 2018 SCI

Interior Secretary Zinke will be leaving his post at the end of the month, according to a tweet sent out by the President early Saturday morning.

In his tweet, President Trump said that Zinke “will be leaving the Administration at the end of the year after having served for a period of almost two years. Ryan has accomplished much during his tenure and I want to thank him for his service to our Nation.”

[IMG]The shake-up at the Interior Department is part of a broader shake-up of his Cabinet and senior staff, according to The Hill.Trump has nominated William Barr to become the new attorney general following Jeff Sessions‘s ouster last month. Trump on Friday also named Mick Mulvaney, the current White House budget chief, as acting chief of staff to replace John Kelly who is leaving at the end of the month.

During his tenure at Interior, Secretary Zinke, a former Congressman from Montana, implemented several measures designed to enhance wildlife habitat conservation and increase public access to hunting and fishing opportunities.

“I know I speak for all members of SCI when I say how much we appreciate the leadership Secretary Zinke has shown in matters of wildlife conservation,” said Paul Babaz, President of Safari Club International. “He has led the way in assuring the federal government works hand in hand with state wildlife management professionals to conserve one of America’s greatest heritages – our wildlife.

“I am proud to serve on one of the advisory committees established by Secretary Zinke. As a fellow hunter, the Secretary truly understands the mindset and the needs of our country’s outdoor sportsmen and women. He will truly be missed,” Babaz concluded.

True. The other side fights dirty and they fight to win! Considering all of the ethical violations and shady dealings the democrats have and they keep getting away with it is just stunning!

I agree completely Brent, no spine. I think most of these cabinet members are jumping ship or pulling there names from positions because of the insane amount of crap being thrown at anyone associated with President Trump. Personally I've never been a Trump fan and really held my nose to vote for him as the only possible choice in 2016. However I will gladly vote for him again in 2020. I still cringe every time he speaks, but the majority of his actions as president have been right on. I hate seeing people like Nikki Haley and Ryan Zinke leave, I feel they were both doing great works for the country (not saying they personally left out of fear, I don't think Nikki Haley is afraid of anything). I just wish more people Trump appointed had his constitution to not play political games and just get stuff done for the country- media and political popularity be damned.
