To avoid further derailment of the OP thread listed above I purpose military comments be moved to this thread for further more indepth comments and discussions.

I started out in Special Forces and then to Post, Corps Command and went down in unit sizes. From some of your comments in the Religion, Evolution, and related Science OP I can gather most military, Army, types started in "line" typical military structured unit(s) and went up.

This ought to get real interesting.

In basic training I tested out for West Point prep school. Army had a liaison officer to my parents' home before I could call them. After two weeks in basic I knew it was not the career for me. Dad was disappointed. But I simply told him no matter what direction I followed it would still lead to killing people. Warfare is the business of inflicting pain and suffering and I preferred to avoid that if I could. He said he could understand that. End of discussion. Dad had been a surgical tech in the South Pacific during WWII. He never talked about it but I knew he'd seen the worst. Anyway, so much for starting out from the upper echelons. I did my three years as a lowly enlisted man in a "structured unit" and got out ... mostly but not quite all in one piece.

I haven't bothered opening the religion and evolution thread. I know a bear trap when I see one. Cannot imagine how that subject(s) wandered into the realm of military service. Not surprising I guess. The politics thread goes berserk on a daily basis.

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.
