I’ve never even owned one, don’t even know what I’d do with one, but I want one bad. Preferably a Brno, maybe a Sako….some day@KoedoePoesPienk
I have a lovely little REM 788 in 222 that shoots sub half inch groups with 3 different 55gn projectiles. Absolutely loved it until my son wanted it but I can still use it anytime.

My friend just took a deer today with the .350 Legend. He handloads Maker bullets. Note the blood trail.I guess I had misunderstood the .350 Legend. I had read that it some thought it was little more than a handgun cartridge. I'll never hunt deer in any of the "straight wall" states but I can now see the vale of this round.

Contact Buffalo Arms. They are supposed to.have it. A box of 20 sells for )better sit down) $160 according to their web site. The 43 Egyptian can be buried. Oh, wait, it already is. Damn. Anybody have any 43 Egyptian brass or ammo they'd be willing to part with? I'd really like to shoot the rifle my Grandmother gave me, but my Dad and his brothers shot up all the ammo my grandpa got with the rifle when they were kids.
And out of stock, no surprise. But, it does show they (occasionally) have brass. Even better, the pic shows it's formed from 50-90 Sharps. And, CH4D makes dies. Appreciate the help. Might actually get to shoot it at some point.Contact Buffalo Arms. They are supposed to.have it. A box of 20 sells for )better sit down) $160 according to their web site.
Put it with a Mauser action , with a decent stock , get rid of the unnecessary belt , slow it down a little and call it a Rigby 450 magnum . A wonderful rifle / cartridge combo..460 Weatherby Magnum. Damn, is it’s recoil beastly.
That said, if using well balanced hand loads in a properly extracting rifle… the cartridge itself may be made to work rather efficiently.
I love it . Sold my 458 Lott Ruger Safari Magnum and bought a Rigby 450 Mag and have never looked back .The case volume seems very comparable to the .450 Rigby. If it was loaded down to the .450 Rigby level, could it be a comparable and more pleasant round? Hard to understand why the .450 Rigby is not more popular among the .45 cal fans.
Something similar happened to me at the range. I was shocked by the pressure from a braked rifle at the bench beside me . He had set up in the wrong area and was moved on very quickly by the range warden . No wonder guides don’t like shooters with brakes on their rifles .Funny you say that, one of my worst experiences at a gun range was when a guy sat next to me with a 300 h&h. I was focused on carefully aiming my next shot when suddenly "BOOM"! It felt like someone just slapped me across the face and my right eye started burning. To add insult to injury all my papers and empty cases were blown off the bench onto the ground. After i expressed my extreme dissatisfaction at what he had just done to me, he thankfully agreed to take the brake off.
That instance was one of many that helped me develop my hatred for the devices.
With a belted case to make it “a real magnum”.Create the 6.5 Creedmoor Magnum? Follow that with the 6.5 Creedmoor Ultra Magnum (aka the 6.5 CUM...wouldn't that be an interesting marketing campaign)? If they're 80,000 PSI & use a proprietary case, I might have to upgrade from my venerable old Swede!
Sounds exciting (or horrifying depending on your viewpoint). Companies still have lots of cartridges they can ADD to the list...![]()
Seems like a lot of blood ... for a jack rabbit. My friend just took a deer today with the .350 Legend. He handloads Maker bullets. Note the blood trail.
