Hello folks ,
I can imagine that a lot of hunters here, have experience with thermal cams .
Im searching for one, but just for animal spotting (boars making trouble).
Nothing for shooting, its not allowed in my country.
Even the ownership is punishable by law and I like to be clean and like to sleep soundly.

Does serious objects exist under thousand USD/Euros ?
Thank you for your advice.

I have used the FLIR handheld unit and it works good. Leupold is making one also that can be had for around 600-700 USD but I haven't played with one yet. Not sure what one would cost in your country as the export restrictions are difficult pertaining to night vision and thermal devices.
We use the thermal units to locate hogs and then use 3gen NV to shoot. Works pretty well to clean hogs out of the rice fields!
Cheers,
Cody

Hi Cody,
FLIR TK-II or III do you use?
