What new Ruger would you like to see in a limited special run?

I could have a fairly long M77 & No.1 wish list, but I have already made most of the ones I really wanted... not patient enough to wait for Ruger.

I'd like them to offer a "higher grade" Ruger African model in all the classic calibers, make it weigh 10 pounds.

If not that, I guess I would take a Ruger No. 1 in 505 Gibbs.
You know, now that you mention it I probably COULD make a case for owning that should I happen to see one :D

If you haven’t done so, listen to the Big Game Hunting podcast with Jason from Lipseys. He unveils a lot of their thinking, what limits they have in working with Ruger and future products. Three key messages from him:

1. With the introduction of their latest M77 Alaskan rifles in 35 Whelen and 9.3x62, they will soon have other releases including left-hand options.
2. If they can’t source proof ammunition for a gun, they can’t make it. Apparently a run of rifles in 250 Savage were made and sat on the shelf for a bit waiting for proof ammo.
3. If there is a gun listed on Lipseys website, that means they still expect to get more of them from Ruger and your dealer can place an order for them.

220 Swift Ruger brought it back in 1973 time to bring it back again but with a faster twist 1in 9 or 1 in 7 to use long vld bullets .It needs a 26 or 28 inch stainless fluted barrel threaded. In the ruger 77 with a medium heavy barrel so its not too heavy to tote .
I just bought a like new old Ruger 77 heavy barrel tang safety made in 1975.The 220 Swift will be a 100 in 2035 .

Since I have already a Heym-Ruger #1 in 9,3x74R I like to see a limited run in .300 H&H Flanged and.500/416 Nitro Express, preferably case hardened and with a classic cheekpiece.

I would like to see the ruger 77 hawkeye varmet rifle in 220 swift and 22-250 with 1in 7 twist so they can use heavier bullets .The 220 Swift does not need to disapear its still awesome .New slow powders and high bc bullets those two could be 800 yard coyote rifles .

I am bringing this one back I guess! I am looking very hard at the Ruger African in 270 however I would rather have one in 30-06 8mm or 7x57. I know they did one on 2017 for 7x57 and would love to see that again and or in the other two calibers above. Does anyone have an idea when the newest 2026 Ruger African might come out can anyone let me know? I need a new rifle for an elk hunt
Thanks

There’s actually a NIB 275 Rigby Hawkeye African on gun broker right now starting bid $2000… Actually has a pretty nice wood as well. I’m very tempted and would love to see what it ends up going for.

Shhhhhh no one was supposed to know darn it lol yes I am watching that one and maybe going to make a bid. I have another individual that is offering to selll me an older m77 tang safety in 7x57 that I might rebarrel in 8mm or keep as a 7x57 just need to see how she shoots

Huh... I never thought about an M77 as the base rifle for my .375 RNE build, but that may make more sense than my somewhat beat-up old Vz24 action. I'm going to doubt that any M77 in 7x57 would have enough meat for a rebore, though.

You could rebore it to the .300 H&H that you want.

Bretta just bought 10bpercebt of Ruger trying to take them over .Ruger needs bettter direction.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
