AH elite
A GP100 4", no under barrel lug, a ejector rod fastener & bbl shaped similar to the S&W mod 28, with nice wooden stocks similar to the Jordan Trooper style, and 6 shot.
Here's what they could do to sell me on a Ruger African in 416 Ruger. Add a quarter rib and a drop box magazine so that it holds 4 or 5 +1, and add a thicker red recoil pad.Alright guys I got good news and bad news. Just got off the phone with Lipseys (great people)
Bad news:
They have their Ruger products selected through 2028
Ruger is no longer doing magnum length for the bolt guns and no longer have the tooling required for such (at least for the M77)
Ruger No.1s require a minimum order of 100, M77s minimum of 250, and even if we could get that number they are not set up to ship them out individually
404 Jeffery is essentially out unless there is a big boom in ammo production for it due to Rugers test process
Good news:
They already have Africa themed guns planned for the upcoming runs
One of those runs is in 300H&H for the No.1 if I remember correctly
Ruger just significantly upgraded their walnut quality with a batch of 2 piece blanks they got
Even though they can’t do the small order, the guy in charge of their custom runs said that he is down for discussing ideas for a future run
Sorry I don’t have better news. I also contacted Ruger directly but have received no response
Has anyone tried putting a No. 1 quarter rib on the M77? Obviously the barrel would have to drilled and tapped.I'd like to see them make the No1 in 450/400 again! Also an African with quarter rib and drop box would require me to spend some money!
Can’t help with the rest but the Alaskan arms extra round floor plate is fantastic addition…..I'd like to see them make the No1 in 450/400 again! Also an African with quarter rib and drop box would require me to spend some money!
Thanks for checking for us!Alright guys I got good news and bad news. Just got off the phone with Lipseys (great people)

Interested to know. Ruger No 1 would look even better with a solid rib too.Has anyone tried putting a No. 1 quarter rib on the M77? Obviously the barrel would have to drilled and tapped.
#1's, #3, Ruger M77/22Hornet's, CZ 527's and Thompson Centers Encores in .22 hornet benefit from R-P brass and Lil'Gun powder. PM me for loads & over 14,000 rounds without ever losing one to an expanded primer pocket nor a blown primer & I used small pistol primers mostly. Accuracy and Velocity - exciting. Gophers to 454yards- with a STANDARD .22 Hornet.I just put a No1 22 Hornet on layaway. Can't wait to shoot you guys some pics.
With a 24” barrel.I wish they’d make an African model chambered in 30-06.
Bingo.With a 24” barrel.
I’d buy one! I love my 280 Ackley improved. That’s probably been one of my favorites, but 30-06 would be fantastic edition.I wish they’d make an African model chambered in 30-06.
