What new Ruger would you like to see in a limited special run?

I’d love for Ruger to make a limited run of RSM in stainless steel, laminated wood stock, chambered in 375 H&H, 416 Rigby and 458 Lott

I think starting with the 35 Whelen they have stopped limiting the runs to 250 rifles. The 270 was probably selected because of the 100 year anniversary and it is probably being produced in unlimited numbers too. I am hoping for a .30-06 or 7x64 soon.
Understand these limited runs are not initiated by Ruger their brought to Ruger by a distributer, Lipseys, Talo, etc. Each time something is offered its limited to what the distributer orders. If it sells and there is still a "High" demand, Ruger may put it then in their factory line up. As they did with the 1st 44 Flat tops.

Ruger/Marlin MXLR in .338 Marlin Express. Such a wonderful caliber that all too few know about because Remington kicked it to the curb so quickly.

I have the 375 that was acquired about eight years ago. But like you I would love to see a limited run in 458 Lott and 450-400

Probably the best of the Ruger #1s were the limited edition lightweight sporters in stainless steel with nice walnut. They were called K1As.

They made a limited run of 6.5x55SEs. They were wonderful, and of course there is no limit to how you can overload a #1 action with a long-throated 6.5x55SE chamber. It makes the 6.5 man-buns totally irrelevant.

28 inch barrel 264 win mag african model fluted barrel .I know that would sell .They Need to make Ruger African in 338 win mag too 24 in med heavy barrel .

I haven't read through all the comments but here are my requests.

Hawkeye Africa-
9.3/62, the bush rifle is an option now but I want the more classic look of the African
275 Rigby/7-57, would love to see this as a permanent option or another larger run
6.5x55 sweedish
257 weatherby mag, the plains game favorite of Roy Weatherby
30-06, I don't understand why this isn't a permanent addition to the line up
I would also love to see a run of magnum actions, even if they just came as a builders action I think they would sell immediately!

No .1-
280 AI
7mm rem mag
500 S&W

I would also enjoy seeing a run of 77-22 hornets (or similar small cartridges) modeled after the African, possibly with some engraving centered around the tiny 10. Call it the 77 Safari mini

Lipsey's released a 22 Hornet African model in '24. I don't know what the availability of it is now but I have seen them available for sale in this last year. They also released that chambering as a No. 1 RSI model.

Man! I didn't know that about the Hornet!

I’ve wanted one. Haven’t seen one sell for less than $1700. Had one member kindly messaged me about one in a store for 1499 but it was gone by the time I called.

The only calibers I want they are limiting numbers (like the hornet). 35 Whelen and .270 are seemingly limitless, respectably priced and I have zero interest.

I’ll pay an extra bit but irks me when people they're made, knowing 80% are going to people who are only out to flip them. I’d rather see the numbers doubled, and pay a higher price to the distributor.

A Ruger African in 22 Hornet is on GunBroker right now for $2,499. The 75% increase in the base price will only make you pay an additional $1,070 above MSRP. It is interesting how some of these special runs will get scooped up but they won't make enough to meet more widespread demand.

I ordered my .35 Whelen online for $1400. When I picked it up from my FFL they had NIB for $1050. Can't see the 75% increase. At least not for me as I do not hunt hornets.

M77 African

9x57

M77 Gunsıte Scout

338 Federal
358 Win

All Weather Zytel boat paddle stock left hand non-magnum. I’ll take 10 of them.

Hawkeye African: .458 Winchester Magnum
No.1: .358 Shooting Times Alaskan would be awesome, but I’d get one in .300 H&H!

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
