What is your dream hunt in Africa..?

After answering the question, I thought perhaps I should also back it up and say what is realistic a step or two down from the dream subject and actually take steps towards that goal. I love hunting buffalo and bovids in general. They are athletic and intelligent when pressured and have to be respected as DG. I could/should concentrate on taking more bovid species...several African countries and Australia come to mind. They also look fantastic as euro mounts and that can save a lot of expense.

Hands down TANZANIA !!!!

For me, in Africa; bull elephant spot & stalk & lion & lioness spot & stalk. Unfortunately, I can't import them now from the countries I can afford to hunt them in.

So maybe Greenland for muskox or somewhere for moose

FOR HEALTH REASONS MOST OF MY DREAM HUNTS HAVE ALREADY PASSED ME BY,
BUT I STILL DO DREAM OF PUTTING TOGETHER A WHOLE FAMILY PLAINSGAME SAFARI OF KIDS-GRANDKIDS-GREATGRANDKIDS.

It's a moving target.

If money was no object, a tracking hunt for a truly wild lion.

In recent months I am more intrigued with elephant. The trick for me is going to be doing it my way, with regards to a gun.

North America: more Sitka blacktail, mountain goat, muskox, brown bear with a bow.

Cameroon for Lord Derby Eland with PH Guav Johnson.

I kind of want to do one of the veterinary hunts where you "hunt" with the tranq gun and then help the vet check vitals and things. Because in that case my daughter would want to go with me and that'd be the best thing.
Book a Rhino tranq hunt in RSA.

Yupper....that's the one. I think I'm about 2-3 years away from seriously shopping that one out due to other travel plans we have scheduled. To be honest, I didn't even know that was an option until I joined this forum --- that's one of the great things about this place is that there's so many opportunities to learn about.

Yes the rhino dart hunts are fantastic. I didn't know what to expect but I've done several and they are very interesting conservation tools to check blood work, inject vitamins, etc. This guy tried to climb the ditch and went to sleep 1/2 way across. When you administer the anti-dote, they pop right up and leave within minutes.

I never dreamt of hunting Africa. Life changing events pushed me there. Now I’m booking and Ele and another buff along with trying to finish the Tiny 10 and small cats plus various PG in Moz, Bots, and SA in October this year…

Planning a Leopard hunt for 2027.

Goal was to retire and hunt as many countries as I can… Now I’m doing that.

Spain in 2027 too.

I have really come around to the idea of taking a lion or an Elephant. However, I think my dream hunt would be taking my wife and 2 sons with me for a full license hunt in Tanzania. Let both boys go shoot some buff and have my wife shoot a leopard. See what happens from there.

Africa holds a lot of interest in still many species I’ve yet to hunt. But my dream hunt has always been for stone sheep in the Yukon but at $75-100k I can’t see that ever happening. While a dream hunt it’s just not worth the high sum of money to me. Should have done it years ago but too busy raising a family

Good morning,
Did you hunt w Leeuwkop at their ranch or in Zimbabwe? The ranch looks awesome, but I'll be in Zimbabwe for buffalo and whatever else we dig up.
What did you hunt for?
Vaccines?
What rifle did you use?
I feel like I need a good cotton safari shirt and an ammo belt to make the hunt feel right!
How often did you shoot prior to going?
Did you use sticks for shooting practice?
