What did you reload today?

loaded up some test rounds in my 9.3x62 I just got back after Cerakote, barrel thread for suppressor and 9.3x62 Laser engraved on the barrel. Since CEB is not stocking the 210 Raptor any more (special order, 500 bullets ) going to see how the 240 gr Hammer Bullet will work out. Max range 300 yards.

Getting bullets is becoming such a challenge!

the reason CEB stopped stoking this bullet is because of lack of sales, I was told they only sold 3 boxes of the these bullets in the last year and I think 2 were to me.I would like to see some shooters to get an order and they will make a run, I would take 200 bullets my self

I discovered my BRNO ZKK 602 375 H&H can handle loaded rounds of more than the max COAL of 3.600''

So, instead of loading the Barnes 270 grains TSX at 3.600'' with a jump of .220'', I loaded a series of rounds at :

3.770'', 3.745'', 3,720 and 3.695''

Even at these lenghts, they cycle and feed perfectly.

With my poor man's OAL gauge, I checked the maximum cartridge lenght with a few bullets. Every bullets at max OAL fitted in the magazine with the base just at or just below the shoulder.

Looks like the guys at BRNO knew what they were doing.. Lol

The 4 OAL tests shoot very good, but 3.745’’ (0.075’’ from the land) gave the best accuracy, 5/8’’ for 3 shots. The 3 others were at an inch or just over by an eight.

375 HH, 74 grains of IMR 4451, Barnes 270 grains TSX 3.745’’ OAL.

I also have a winchester model 70 Featherweight in 270 Winchester. For 2, 3 shots groups at 200 yards, she averaged 1.25’’ (1.125’’ and 1.325’’)

59 grains of IMR7828, 130 Berger VLD Hunting, 3.275’’ oal.

Life is good.

Loaded some 30-06, with 165 Grs Nosler Ballistic Tips, and IMR-4350.

Also on the 30-06 train, I loaded some old Hornaday 130 grain pills I had sitting around. Makes a great target load.

Loaded up some more practice loads for 375 and 450/400 and went shooting this afternoon. I only shoot about 8-12 each in a session so doesn’t take long to load them.

Also did a final function check on all the ammonium taking to Zimbabwe. Feds all the 375 out of the magazine and closed the action on every 450/400 round in each barrel. Locked them away in the Pelican ready for the flight.

That bullet/powder combo created some of the most accurate 30-06 loads I’ve ever put together.

Yes sir, you’re absolutely correct. Perfect combo. (y)

If a 30-06 won’t shoot a 165gr bullet over 56-60gr of 4350 or similar, get rid of it!

Loaded up some 200gr Nosler AB and A-Frames for the 300H&H, along with a few 143gr Bondstrike’s for the 6.5 Swedemoor. All with N555.

It’s interesting that the AB and the A-Frame shoot to the same POI out to 300m.
AB leaves the barrel at 2725fps and the A-Frame at 2750fps.
Leaving for a Kalahari venison hunt on Wednesday.

What do you mean?
What I mean is that 56-60gr of IMR4350 and a 165gr bullet is an age old Pet Load for the 30-06.
I’ve worked with over a dozen 30-06 rifles and always got great accuracy and velocity with the above load.

I'm actually using right at 56 grs, and it's a 1/2" or less all day long on my best friend's Win 70. For the size of the GA deer in our area, this is an ideal load.

I'm going to have to try this. My .300WM loves both the 180g Accubond (3"at 500yds) and 200g Swift A Frames which I haven't tested at 500, but shoot just over 1.7' at 300yds. It would be nice to work up a 200 grain AB load as well.

Getting ready for Moz in September. Sized, trimmed and primed cases. New Bertram brass and once fired Norma nickle plated. Loaded some 450 Rigby rounds. 103 grains of H4350 pushing a NF 450 grain SS. Cycle tested everything. Next stop is the range for some trigger time.

I'm working on refining this load for summer practice rounds and see if I can get the SD under 10. Not sure if the heat had anything to do with it since I 4064 isn't as temp stable as some powders.
