I deserved the Toby part lol!!!Congratulations Toby…I mean Rare Breed.
And a hearty congratulations to the buyer. Enjoy the beautiful DR in good health!!
It did!!!Congrats! Did it go to someone from AH?
Yes indeed! Hope to get home and try her out.Very nice to keep it in the family. Any plans for it?
Now, why am I not surprised at the speed of the sale? Exquisite rifle, and congrats to Rare Breed and the new owner.Rifle and components sold and all picked up today! Thanks everyone for looking!
LOLToby, you need to ride down and see me for a legal consultation. I think we can file suit against rare breed for use of your trade name and trademark kitchen island sales program.
I accept retainers in the form of ammunition and/or trophy fees.
Back at you my friend!!! So enjoyed spending time today talking Africa hunting and fine rifles! I know this gun is in a great home with a great person and will see many future Africa hunts! Thanks for the kind words!!!@Rare Breed is a true gentleman of the highest order! Truly a rare breed in this day and age. Admittedly true gentlemen are much more common here than everyday society.
I will admit to being the party who took advantage of this deal.
I wanted to put my greasy mitts on that fine rifle before I committed to buy.
I have handled vintage WR rifles that had too much drop at the heel and did not fit me. The very fine rifle @Rare Breed bought, and had imported and then sorted by JJ did fit.
I am indebted to @Rare Breed to have the opportunity to care for this rifle for a time.
My thanks once again!
Yes indeed! Hope to get home and try her out.
I intend for it to see Africa. Hopefully life allows that to happen for me.
It won’t be a safe queen if I get my say.
Too funny!!!!!Toby, you need to ride down and see me for a legal consultation. I think we can file suit against rare breed for use of your trade name and trademark kitchen island sales program.

Se interessati posso inviare foto.I have become the Toby of Double Rifles...lol!!! I have some expensive hunts I want to take especially to get my Rhino to finish out my quest for the big 5. I am therefore selling my 500 NE Westley Richards. The following are my costs and needs so as I always do there is full transparency. I paid $12,000 for the rifle at auction in France. It cost me $1,300 to get it here. I then paid JJ Perodeau to make the rifle perfect which he did for $1,400 with shipping I have all in $15,000. I have over $1,000 in bullets, dies and brass. I am looking for $21,500 which includes shipping to C US. Yes, I always have sold at my cost or up to 20% discount as so many of you have experienced but this rifle is worth my asking price with the components. Only the market will tell of course.
For sale, a Westley Richards built (see registry certificate from them) in 1908 in 500 NE 3 inch. This is a Westley Richards built for Army Navy as you can see on the certificate from Westley Richards. The rifle was completely refurbished to as new condition. When I bought the rifle I sent it to JJ Perodeau to have it checked out and he reported it was perfect after his once over and minor tightening. The red dot scope is not included. The gun regulates to 1.5 inches at 50 yards using IMR 3031 at 83 grains. The rifle has a 28 inch barrel and 15 LOP. It weighs 11.5 pounds which is perfect for a 500 NE. It is extractors, not ejectors. Included with the purchase is the following...good luck if you could even get these items as they are almost all out of stock but now you would have them:
550 proiettili di A-Frame, Woodleigh sia in Soft che FMJ e Hornady... vedi foto.
3 matrici di ricarica, un RCBS, Hornady, Redding
200 pezzi di ottone.
Guarda le foto per vedere l'assoluta bellezza del fucile.
