Wanted left handed model 70 375 or up. Or left handed CZ.

Thank everyone for the suggestions all beautiful rifles. That’s definitely the route I’m going to take if I can’t find a left handed model 70. I’ve never had one before plus they seem almost impossible to find.

I have a LH Dakota 76 in 375 Dakota for sale if you're interested, with brass.

I also have a LH model 70 for sale, its a 300 WBY, but its built on a 375 H and H action, so you could re-barrel it to something larger if desired.

Prices are reasonable on both.

Left-handed DG rifles can be a challenge to find sometimes depending on what your budget & preferences are. One of the easier acquisitions is the 375 Ruger since they were available in quantity in recent years. I considered buying one but was fortunate to have a LH Winchester Model 70 Safari Express in 375 H&H appear at a good price in late 2023 that I purchased instead. Since then, I haven't seen many (any?) in the sub $2k price range again. The larger left-handed CZ's & Zastava's aren't very common either.

A couple of years ago I was looking for a fun project to occupy my spare time so I took a left-handed Ruger M77 MkII in 7mm Rem Mag & upsized it to a 458 Win Mag by swapping the barrel & adding some crossbolts. It worked great & I enjoyed doing it. If I was going to start over again & try to acquire a more powerful rifle, then doing that or choosing something like a 416 Taylor is always a viable option. Finding standard length actions that can be rebarreled to shoot DG loads is sometimes a more affordable & easier route to take for us southpaws. Ordering something like a LH Sako 90 Hunter in 375 H&H is an option if CRF isn't an absolute requirement. The ambidextrous Blaser R8 is occasionally offered as a suggestion if a modern straight-pull is acceptable.

Every couple of months a left-handed rifle will appear in the classifieds here so that's always an option too if you're patient enough. I have found that knowing what you want & how much you're willing to spend is a good thing to already have decided because you often have to jump fast when the right deal appears. You are very right about rebarreling the Rugers. I did this with a couple of MkII's. A $600 .270 became a .375 Whelen and a $800 .300WM became a .416 Taylor. IMO, the repurposing of a standard length action makes the most economic sense in regards to left hand shooters. Watching the trading prices on the few guns of any quality, reliability, etc. has been astounding of late. CRF left hand actions are just not plentiful. When you add magnum length, you are in "hen's teeth" territory and the price is commensurate. Good luck!
 
I’m ultimately after a 375 and a 416. Yes the magnum length actions for a lefty is no joke. I have time on my side and plan to have some custom work done once I get my hands on some good actions for a base.
 
These rifles are pretty tough to find. When you do find one, they can be pretty expensive. One of the last ones that I saw was on GB. It was a Winchester Model 70 Super Express in 375 H&H, and had an initial bid of $4600. Which is expensive for a Winchester!?!? During the pandemic, I found a LH Dakota Model 76 Traveler in 416 Rem at Cabela’s. It was a lucky find!!!
 
@Stnelson, first of all welcome aboard. Your best bet is to be a little patient and check the AH Classifieds on a regular basis meaning almost every day. These rifles come up from time to time and generally sell very quickly. It took me almost a year to get one for my son at what I thought was a reasonable price. Left-handed "big bores" tend to be a little pricey so be ready to pounce when one shows up at a fair price.

This is great advice. I have dreamed of a nice LH 375 H&H for most of my life but it was hard to find one I really wanted at the time so I went ahead and bought a .375 Ruger and as soon as I did there were no less than 4-5 nice LF Sako rifles and 2 Model 70s come up for sale within the next 2-3 months.

Hi have a LH Remington 700 Stainless in 375 H&H if interested along with 150+ Federal 270gr soft point rounds and a large qty of 375 bullets also.
