I would like some cheap 375 ammo for practice.

Let me know what you have!

I have this one box I am unlikely to use. If you want to make me a fair offer, drop me a pm

Go to your local gun shop and ask them for a price a special order of .375 H&H.

I'm pretty sure I could get it for less than $60/box here in Georgia.

Being a good/loyal customer of a local gun shop definitely has it's perks!

I've been able to beat "Ammoseek" MANY, MANY times...

A real relationship with a "mom & pop" gun store can be invaluable.

Yea, shipping will kill you since it has to go UPS ground. USPS doesn't ship live ammo.

My LGS doesn’t carry anything over 300 win. Just the area we are in. I couldn’t shoot enough to justify a special order.

Andrew,

If you hand load or if you are considering taking up this simple and rewarding hobby, get into the MidwayUSA.com mailing list.
Indicate you are wanting “Factory Seconds” or “Factory Blemished” .375 caliber projectiles.

All of the ones I have bought over the past approximately 50 years, have only been slightly discolored or the crimping groove has sometimes been a fraction of an inch higher or lower than normal.
They have all shot just as accurately as not blemished ones.
Most of the .375 caliber ones I’ve bought have been Hornady round nose soft points and Hornady spire point soft nose.
If you don’t live in Alaska or Hawaii, they are often cheaper than what non-blemished ones sell for in retail stores.

I live in Alaska so, shipping is way higher than the lower 48 states.
Nonetheless, they are still cheaper here than non-blemished ones are here.

Good luck to you and stay safe,
Velo Dog.

If you haven't looked Natchez Shooters Supply has some for $90 a box of 20.

I haven't looked at Midway or any other online seller

Been reloading for years! Have used factory second in my 416 Rigby loads.

Thanks!

Speer bullets, 235 grain specifically make great lower recoil practice rounds since you reload.
Good call 374er,

I have not only shot paper targets and other inanimate targets with Speer 235 grain semi-spitzers but also, I’ve shot blacktail deer and caribou with them.
Most were pass throughs, leaving an exit hole approximately the size of a golf ball.

Somewhere in my dung heap (boxes full of junk, stacked in my garage), there is one recovered from a lengthwise, rump to brisket shot, into a caribou, at close range (under 100 paces).
It was perfectly mushroomed.
If I ever stumble into it again someday, I will post pictures of it.
They are definitely not the bullet I’d choose for buffalo.
Nonetheless, they are somewhat tougher than they look.

Cheers,
Velo Dog.

Can they order a case of 200?
Does that work out for you to commit to 200?

That I can relate too. Same experience here in my area. Yet my LGS ordered ten boxes of each and only sold 7 of each of those boxes of what "we" AH community members would consider as "African Mid and Big" bore calibers. Means they have 3 boxes of each collecting dust on the floor shelf.

Usually, and if you can budget for, I would highly recommend you make a special order of 10 boxes, aka case, of ammo. Especially for calibers that are in the "less manufactured" calibers. It's not about shooting enough, it's about having ammo on hand when you decide you want to shoot or hunt with your rifle. Even more so if, heaven for bid, you are not into reloading.

Facts of life and reality.

In today's world of ammo, brass, bullet, powder, availability, it is always better to have as much on hand as it is to search for later when you want or need it.

Think of it at as: I'll regretfully pay now and save later. Because prices will never be going down and the future availability of ammo and components will be in limbo when you need them.

If you can swing a case, 10 boxes, perhaps you can, or have knowledge of someone local, to split a case of ammo.

Case in point: I have 2 7.7 Jap rifles, currently; I am calling them project rifles. Besides my point. I have an acquaintance, a navy vet, also a local VFW member, we split a case of ammo 7-3. I kept 7 of the 3 boxes.

Just saying maybe you too can share a special order with an alike minded person in your area

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
