Hi Guys would be interested in this - not a trophy hunter - save for Warthog - talk to you all you want about piggies - from 15m to 300m Warthog are amazing - love to hunt them - Wait - Hippo - want to hunt hippo and cull them - heard some stories about Zambia and a cull there -

Competent with rifle from 8mm rem mag to 416 Rigby anyhow if culling and a couple of warthog - well gives us something to do when they are recovering the hippo - nice walk and maybe a piggie for the collection

Anyhow back to the Hippo - if you know of anything - Have culled South Africa UK Iceland and Bulgaria !

Thanks

Stephen

What would define a cull hippo? A cow? How could you tell it didn’t have a calf, I imagine that would be rather difficult.

Quite easy to determine if a cow had a calf or not.

Some countries have too many hippo and they are therefore culled. Many cause damage and destroy crops of subsistence farmers and are then culled.

PAC hippo are another option. If done at night this can be quite exciting and a real adrenalin rush but not for the faint hearted though.

Hi Bob, how's things going in Wyong?. Down your way a couple of years back but haven't been in NSW since Ebor for the fishing. just getting over some nasty storms up here in Qld, seeing the sun for the first time in a few days. I'm going to NZ in the spring and hope to clean up a few buns while there and perhaps shake the spiders out of my old .303LE (currently owned by my BIL). Cheers Brian

Did you purchase your hunt at a US SCI fundraiser?

Heard you may have load data for the 500 Jeffery,.....any info would be appreciated. Was thinking 535gr, but already had a response that the 570gr would be a better way to go, not sure why.
