I recognize how total longshot this is, but figured I would still drop a line in the off chance someone was looking to drop down to a 470NE or weight/size from large frame to Safari framed gun. With my new 89b Grossbox 450NE, it shoots 500gr at same velocities as the 470 just with better sectional density. It also prints within 1" for everything from 420gr CEB Raptors up through the 500gr at 60 yards, and within 2" at 100 yards, so not sure my 470 will see much use going forward. I would like to get a 500NE and considering ordering one before the new year, but if I could luck into swapping with someone, all the better.

I really want a gun over 11lbs, so looking preferably for a large frame or grossbox if 89b. I would consider trades for another 470NE if on a larger frame, just to play with for a while to help me know exactly what I want long term as well, but ideally hoping to find a 500NE.

What I have to trade is a 2008 Heym 88b Safari frame 470 nitro with 24" barrels. Rifle had a recent (August) total inspection, strip and clean, adjust and address anything needed, silver's pad and additional RMR cuts made immediately aft of the rear sight, all work completed by JJ Perodeau. The cuts JJ makes are slightly longer than the current factory ones back closer to the frame...nice benefit is you can use the regular trijicon rmr mount, doesn't require the specific Heym mount with the shorter bite on the mount to match the shorter groove. Rifle has been hunted (doesn't appear much) so has a few minor handling marks, but nothing significant whatsoever. Really clean gun with recent thumbs up from JJ. LOP is right at 15" and weight I will have to confirm the exact number to the ounce, but its right around 10.5lbs.

In the rare chance you have what I am looking for and interested in mine, please feel free to reach out.

The rifle referenced is pictured below, in the photos with two rifles disassembled. the 470 is the one with the red Silver's pad.

Well this is your lucky day! I have a stripper well, a 1968 Cadillac Deville convertible and a 12 year old, half blind lab that may or may not have bowel issues.

Seems like a fair trade. I can sweeten with an aluminum Grumman canoe but I'd probably have to keep the well.

In on the lab- I think he’ll pair well with a 55 year old half deaf cranky guy that also may or may not have bowel issues!

That rifle looks great on that case !
You should see my 89b 450NE in it….lol. Love the case for sure. Next range trip, I’ll send you a photo. Now I have to carve out time to pare down the pages of wonderful comments from my time with @Dalton&York in the Omay…while feeling out possibility of this needle in haystack pipe dream of possible trade.

I had to look it up, but sadly it turned out that "stripper well" was not a literal description of the item in question.

:-)

Sometimes what seems unrealistic fantasy, proves quite the contrary. What I have found, more and more, is we have some wonderful folks who participate in our forums and should be proud to be part of the same brethren.

Trade pending. Cheers.
