I am heading back to Africa this fall. This spring I acquired a Sauer 100 field ethos in 9.2x62. I am quite smitten with the gun and would like to take it with me to use where appropriate. I have never taken anything but swift A frame bullets with me on safari outside of solids. After speaking to nice folks at swift it seems unlikely they will have a run on any 366 bullets this year. They appear to be out of stock at US retailers. I was hoping someone on here might have a box or two to spare. Either 250 or 286 grain as I figure beggars cannot be choosy. Glad to do a straight sale or trade other reloading supplies or ammo. These are not for resale just to load and use later this fall in Africa. Appreciate any help and thanks

Ravens Rock precision has the 250accubonds in stock right now. They are $92/50. I cannot relay how they do on African stuff, but AZdave if I remember correctly recommended them to me. Reach out to him, he has experience in Africa with them.

What all are you hunting with it?
I have used aframes and partitions over there and they both did well!!

I had planned on taking accubonds next time over, but I don’t have anything crazy big to shoot on list (Buffalo, etc). I would shoot an eland in a heartbeat with one.

Are they making them in any weight other than 325 now?

Woodeligh makes them in 320 gr.

As @SStomcat stated, look at using Barnes. A couple of years ago I ran a penetration test and found the 250gr TTSX out penetrated the 286gr Swift by about 8%.

Also shot a 286gr Hornady, but it diverted and exited the side.

Appreciate the thoughts on the Barnes TSX. I have 250 TSX both bullets and Buffalo Bore ammo. Gun likes them fine but PH will not let me use all cooper bullet on a leopard. So now I need 2 bullets one for leopard and one for other plains game. Swift A frame does that all in one bullet. Working on load development with Nosler AB 250 grain. That may work for all

I have I believe most of a box of 250 grain A-frames. Only problem is is I’m about 10 or 12 days from home. If you still need some by the time I get home we can work something out. If you have not heard from me by the 23rd, and are still in need, PM me.

Thanks. Will check back in a couple weeks

When I read people who have taken leopard with the Swift all report it did fine, but they would use a softer nose bullet if done again like the accubond certainly not a Barnes. However, I do not ever want to be a hypocrite...I just loaded three boxes or 60 bullets of Swift A Frames in 9.3x62 for my August leopard hunt given I also will be shooting other game.

I believe Nosler Partition are about perfect for leopard in a 9.3x62.

I have 31 of the 286 grain A-Frames. I would be willing to trade them for 214 grain North Fork or 200 grain Raptors in 9.3 cal.

You are correct they just are not available anywhere
Coorect. I can't find them either now.
Did you consider Accubonds 9.3 or 375 H&H Partition?

I did consider the Accubonds but given I will be hunting other animals and I have the Swifts I decided to go with them.

I got my Accubonds from RR as well. Graf & Sons also has 9.3x62 ammo available now....same prices.
