I believe Hendershots is necking up 300 Dakota brass so it won't be properly headstamped, if required.

The 330 Dakota brass has gotten ridiculously difficult to find. I placed a backorder through Quality Cartridge 5 years ago & I've never heard anything. If anyone knows a source to obtain more I'd be interested as well. The 330 Dakota is a great cartridge.

Grafs will do a run if someone has the quantity order. Been tempted to do a run of 15k cartridges and resell them. Prices on gunbroker etc are insane.

Last time I checked, Parkwest Arms had brass in stock for all the Dakota proprietary calibers except one. I'd give them a call if you want fresh, correctly headstamped brass.

I have a few calls into Quality Cartridge also. Last year they stated there would be a run last winter. I called and left message recently. No return call or update yet.

Hendershots just loaded some ammo for me. I have yet to shoot any.

Nosler developed the 33 Nosler as though it was some monumental cartridge development.....but the 330 Dakota has been around for decades doing what the 33 Nosler does in spades. Now there's 33 brass available and the 330 has become mostly obsolete. Don Allen had it right long ago. It's a shame to see the 330 Dakota go to the wayside.

I had spoken with Parkwest at the Dallas SCI show. They said that was one of the few calibers that they did not have available brass for. i was also referred to Quality cartridge as well.

Any details on what this would look like? Minimum quantity, lead time, pricing? Does Graf's manufacture brass or contact with someone like QC? Would consider participating as I have a 330 Dakota that has proven difficult to "feed".

If memory serves, all but one of the Dakota proprietary calibers is built on 404 Jeffery as the parent. As such, I could not find a single cartridge that would “clean up” with a chamber reamer to allow for easier acquisition of ammunition.

It was an obsession of mine for awhile because these rifles sell at really, really depressed prices and I enjoy Dakota rifles. I concluded that there was no way forward without a barrel replacement.

The 33 Nosler case is slightly shortened compared to the 330 Dakota. You'd have to rebarrel the 330 Dakota. I had Hill Country Rifles inspect my 330 Dakota hoping I might be able to rechamber to 33 Nosler or 338 Ultra Mag & they informed me I'd have to rebarrel it. The case head of the 338 Ultra is slightly smaller than the 330 Dakota....0.534 vs 0.545. Unfortunately there's no easy way to go to a different, more commercially available cartridge.
