    Other:

There two options of getting to camp, fly on LAM JHB to Maputo, spend night in Maputo, early morning Maputo to Lichinga, then rough 7 hour drive to camp. Return is same day, Lichinga to JHB. Roughly 500$ for those flights, 150$ hotel in Maputo.

Fly JHB to Nampula on SAA, charter from Nampula to Cuamba, 1.5 hour drive to camp. Charter 3800$ for return flights. The nice thing about the charter is you in camp the same day and SAA is a much more reliable airline.

Just remember Simon, for lion you need a bigger tree to hide behind than you do with Leopard. If not available, at least make sure you have a bigger client. ;)

Simon asked that I add that this lion is NOT currently importable to the United States.

That said, if I were interested I'd still contact @Safari Specialty Importers and see what their opinion is with the changes that have occurred over the last year.

What a joke. Reading the USFW has spent less than half a million "protecting" lions. Total crock of sh..... I am willing to bet everything on that fact that We, AH, have spent way more than that for the conservation and continuation of lions.

Ups, I'm a poor man and so I can't be a lion hunter, but for that price you get in Zambia a leopard (price list 2016).
    A Lion (one) costs there (Nyampala/Luangwa) USD 100'-crazy,or ?
Simon, your offer is really good, hope you get a good guest and that you can hunt,we all know (y)
    Regards

I can easily imagine a lion stealthily trotting though the bush at Simon's place. Gives me a thrill just thinking about it. I can't think of a more beautiful place to see a lion staring back at you;)

Of course if this was importable to the US, 1. It would have been sold within minutes of being offered. Or 2. It would be a lot higher priced.

I thought that Lions typically follow the Buffalo herds, and take whatever else presents itself

Somebody get that Lion. Simon has nice Sable herds in his area.

I don't know what other problems he is causing. Someone is going to have an interesting opportunity in a wild area.

So why would anyone pay nearly 60,000 for something they can't bring home ? ..Someone who never worked for the money.

Someone who is more interested in conservation than a trophy for the wall. If we believe we are truly hunting to conserve the species then bringing home the trophy is secondary. I hope that is not taken as a personal assault any more than I take offense at being someone who doesn't work for the money.

I think something may have gotten lost in tansit :)
Day rates and trophy fee total $35K. If I had the money I would do it in a heartbeat. And I've worked every day of my life since I was 15, so...
