If hunting has evolved over the centuries, it is rich in codes that often reveal the degree of civilization of the ages involved. In France, at the end of the Middle Ages, we observe an attempt to limit its practice and reserve it to royal power and nobility. It will have to wait for the French Revolution for the legislator to intervene in favor of hunting for all, while increasingly framing its practice. Little by little, the hunters became concerned about the #management of the gibber. Harvest hunting left room for reasoned hunting that included the need to manage not only the game but also its habitats. Today’s hunt is largely a part of these two aspects.
