My son and I traveled down to the Texas panhandle to hunt with the fine folks at The Rockin G Ranch @gizmo. We both would be hunting for young non trophy bison bulls. We were a little bit apprehensive about hunting in a high fenced area but that feeling went away shortly after the hunt began. The hunting area is not huge by any means but it makes up for the lack of size with it's topography ( it's anything but flat ). We chased bison the whole first day without any shot opportunities and gained a lot of respect for Geronimo the old herd bull, it's like he knew what your next move was going to be and took measures to counter it. I'll post more later, right now my wife is telling me that it's time to get the vacuum packer fired up and start on all this bison meat.
I'll just let these here for now.
