USA: My Son's First Hunt

This deer was taken with a cross bow shortly before dark. My grandson asked me how were we going to find the deer in the dark. I told him, and shortly thereafter we began following the blood trail. Twenty five yards into the woods we found him. We took other photos including one with my son and grandson. The smile on my grandson's face was beyond words. A friend of mine saw that picture and quickly blurted out if that boy "a-been" wearing lipstick, he'd have red on both ears." What didn't get recorded was the smile on Opa's (grandpa's in German) face. I'm looking forward to many more years of hunting with my sons and grandkids.

Art it was good to talk with you the other night. Nice deer you got but as you indicate the real nice part was having your son there with you. Looking forward to seeing his first deer posted here. By the way given that you are going to Africa for the first time and going with your dad......you get to look forward to taking your son across the pond one day.
