This may be a dumb question, but do you get to keep the trophies from each animal (skull/horns/taxidermy)? I’ve never been on an African hunt, but am looking to go within the next couple years, and I’ve read about the horrors of trying to get tusks or lion pelts shipped back to the US. Is this also a problem with plains game animals? I’m actually looking at going for eland and giraffe for my first Africa trip, and I’m worried I’ll have nothing to show for it other than pictures. I’d definitely love a nice rifle case made of giraffe hide, or some nice eland horns for my desk.

Yes you do. It takes a little effort but get a good broker and it is fairly easy.

Btw get the giraffe skull. You won't regret it!

I’ll make sure to take as much of the giraffe as I can afford! I’ve seen some nice head/neck mounts here on the forum. Makes me quite envious!
