Vaseline works pretty good. Also lasts longer before you have to reapply it...
Got my chair back, that's as been awhile in the making. I got moose, elk and caribou hides tanned years ago for this project. The recliner I got in March and finally got it to Ken at the end of November. Ken came up with the idea of staining the back and ends. Very pleased with the way it turned out.
Very impressive and I really like it.
way to go.
I posted a few photos earlier of my man cave construction project. Those photos were in the framing phase and now a few recent ones showing some sheet rock. There is 3/4" plywood under the sheet rock. I also had the builder run a 2x6 underneath the plywood on the centerline of the fireplace. The room is 20 ft x 30 ft with a 16 ft ceiling. The lower 8 ft section of walls will feature dark stained wood wainscoting, to give the room a bit of a formal look. The wall on the opposite end of the room from the fireplace, with the entrance from the main part of the house, will have a big screen TV.
Is this at your place in Houston?
No, I just have an apartment in Houston. The house under construction is in Louisiana.
Way back when I got my 2014 trophies back I was excited about posting on this thread.
Well we built a new home the last six months and I at least got the basement for my trophy room.
It went from a very full 300 square Ft to 600 square feet.
Still need some things done but this is the beginning. With the recommendations of my wife I built a desk for myself.
@Bhfs300 ...........very nice man cave! With a popcorn maker, no less. Well done!
Very nice room. Congrats.
New house new place to fill up!
Thats awesome! I have a tiny room in our new home, but the basement has not been finished nor claimed yet...
WOW! That is so much more space than you had! I can’t believe you had all those in that tiny space!
I need an invite to see this! LOL!
You did great!
Thanks everyone all the work in building the house has humbled me. I like my new trophy room.
Looks great. Here is a pic of my office in the basement of our home.
Wow, just wow. I need one of those! All of a sudden I need another home.
Come here n over it is cleaned up enough to show it off.
That is a very impressive trophy room!
Got the addition to the bar done.
A couple low profile stools, built a cabinet to increase the size of the bar, storage and provide a place to put my popcorn popper kind of out of sight.
