Good day fellow hunters,

It has been a while since I have been able to get on AH due to being busy hunting and travelling. I hope everyone has had a great start to the season and that everyone that has hunts booked for 2022 will have great safaris.

We had a great start to our season, kicking it off in Cameroon we took this beautiful Lord Derby Eland and Western Kob.

Our second and third safari in Cameroon also went according to plan with both our hunters tagging out on their Lord Derby Eland on respectively the first and second day on their Lord Derby hunting safaris with JKO Hunting Safaris. Our hunters

Our hunters also harvested some great Savanah Buffalo, Western Kob and other species while hunting in Cameroon with JKO Hunting Safaris.

While in Cameroon we had a hunter in South Africa looking for a proper Cape Buffalo in one of our exclusive areas on the Botswana border in the Northern part of South Africa. Our hunter worked hard and connected with this beautiful Cape Buffalo bull on day 5 of his Cape Buffalo hunting safari with JKO Hunting Safaris.

We had our first hunter of the season in Uganda in the month of March, he also had a excellent safari taking a Nile buffalo, Sitatunga, Patterson Eland, Nile Bushbuck, East African Impala, nice warthog and a huge Defasa Waterbuck in the first 6 days of his 14 Day safari with JKO Hunting Safaris in Uganda.

We had a great elephant hunt in Zimbabwe taking these two nice bulls in a matter of days from each other.... Elephant hunting is always exciting and one of my personal favorite safaris to do!

In South Africa we had our young friend all the way from Texas, he had a long list of species he wanted to hunt so we did get it done for him in one of our large lion hunting areas in the Kalahari area of South Africa..... Was such a pleasure to be able to take my son with us on this great safari. Teaching the boys from a young age what conservation through utilization is.

We are ending April with a father and son from Europe that decided to do a father and son lion combo, they were rewarded with some beautiful male lion. Hunting and tracking was difficult due to the tall grass which is a result of extra good rainfall this season. Both lion were taken at around 30 yards and they were not happy with us at all, very exciting hunt with JKO Hunting Safaris. They also took a beautiful Hartman Zebra to add to their trophy collection.

What a season it has been with lots of hunts, time spent with long time clients, new clients, friends, and some proper animals taken. The Cape Buffalo below was taken in late May this year from one of my concessions we hunt in South Africa. The hunter was one of the first clients I had when I started almost 14 years ago and this was his 3rd trip with me. He was all smiles with the age and 44in of width this buff had to offer. To say he is hooked on Cape Buffalo hunting is an understatement and has already rebooked for another!

Hunting is about a lot more than just pulling a trigger…it’s about conservation, seeing places / sights you’d never have the opportunity to see unless hunting, and the list can go on and on but one of the unique and truest things about hunting is the bond that is created. Earlier this year in May JKO Hunting Safaris had the privilege of hosting two first time hunters to the continent of Africa; a father and son duo. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves on the time had by all!
