I know shipping trophies back from Argentina has been a hot topic in the past since the troubles they experienced a few years ago. I hunted in Argentina just this past March. I was able to harvest a trophy Red Stag (6x5), a management Red Stag (4X4 but 36" wide), and a blackbuck. I got the following email today-

I am pleased to inform you that we are in the final stage of the process. I am sending you the invoice with the air freight charges. You will soon receive your trophies.

In the "Payment Processing" section you will find the invoice attached to be paid with an amount of u$2,511.00.-:

That corresponds to shipping to BWI - Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport trophy pick up, storage, TCA EZEIZA, customs export clearance in Argentina, DTE EZEIZA SENASA, courier for documents, and all costs related to freight (AWB-Handling) for the trophies.

The company we used says they should be here in 30-40 days. Fingers crossed.

Thats great! I hope they stick to it.

I really, really want to get back to Argentina, just waiting for this shipping stuff is getting sorted...

Please keep us posted. Interested if you end up paying any additional "tariffs" after it arrives in the US.....

Excellent! Looking forward to seeing them.

@migrabill I think you mentioned in another thread that you were charged something around $2000-$2,500 for something there with export and that it didn't include shipping.

Could you give a breakdown of your total costs to get trophies back, as much as you know so far. Was the earlier amount for taxidermy and export? Or just dip and pack and export?

I am supposed to be going there next spring and wouldn't mind a rough estimate of cost.
Thanks

Are these finished euro mounts or dip & pack?

Absolutely. Good idea for those going or considering going-

First off - the price of the hunt was $4,500. That included a trophy Red Stag and either a management red stag or a Blackbuck. I shot my Trophy Red Stag and a Blackbuck. I paid an additional $1500 to add a Management Red Stag.
Now, I will say that all the prices below are for a total of 4 red stags and a blackbuck. My buddy and I split the cost of packing, crating, shipping etc.
We received a bill for $2036. This was for Treatment of Trophies, Obtaining Fish and Wildlife documentation, dip and pack, and crate. 10 items total. 4 red stag heads, 4 red stag capes, 1 blackbuck head, 1 blackbuck full body cape (I am getting the blackbuck done lifesize). The crate weighs 395 pounds.
Today we received the actual bill to ship from Argentina to BWI Airport, the brokerage fees. and Customs clearing fees. $2511. So if you add up the 2 separate bills we are talking $4547, but that gets split 2 ways.

I really appreciate this breakdown.

Just to clarify, you will still owe an importer on the US side as well, or was that included in the $2511?

I haven't seen nearly as much info about the import costs from Argentina, so it is nice to get some insight about it.

I was already banking on them taking a long time to come home, so if they get it sorted before I go, that would be a nice bonus.

I believe that 2511 includes the importer. I guess I could be wrong, but I think it does.

Thanks! When you find out later if that was included please let me know.

Great price on the hunt, by the way. That was quite a deal on a stag and blackbuck both.

It was a show special at the Great American Outdoors show in Harrisburg, PA. Plus I had enough airline points saved up from work trips to fly for free.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer

Couple of quick questions:

1) Can we add some additional species on
2) what do you want for a deposit?
3) how do you want me to sign up

I'm on whats app or email
