I took my first trip to Africa in November 2016. My trophies have finally made it into Coppersmith’s hands in Chicago, over two years later! I never thought that I would have completed two additional safaris before I got my first set of trophies home. I should get billing and shipping information today and then they will be on the way to my house. Can’t wait!

Taking the trips is certainly the easy part. I hope they are what you expect when they arrive.

May I ask who did your taxidermy?

I used Capricorn taxidermy. They were the biggest part if the delay, but there were some documentation issues from the PH side as well. Once everything was sorted, there was a delay waiting for the SA government.

Ugh! This and the fact I have such a small space are why I am looking at only bringing home memories and photos in the future. I can almost go on a second hunt for what taxidermy, shipping, importation and deliveries cost. I can take the experience to my grave, but not the taxidermy. Just my thoughts as an old man.

I don’t disagree. I brought nothing home from my 2nd trip. Having a couple of flat skins done from the tried. I’m probably finished bringing trophies home. Except the next buffalo......

Two years....I would be jumping out of my skin. Totally unacceptable.
