Absolutely — and here’s why: 90% of our hunters bring their wives, many of whom have never held a rifle or been in a hunting blind, and they all fall in love with Africa and the slow heartbeat of the Kalahari.
Namibia is very safe, making it ideal for spouses and families to join. After the hunt, there are rich excursions to explore the country — from the towering dunes of Sossusvlei to the charming coastal town of Swakopmund. We help plan these trips so your safari experience extends beyond the lodge.
So, what to do in camp? That’s where the day unfolds at your own pace. With exclusive use of the lodge, mornings can start slowly — breakfast in your pajamas, coffee under a camelthorn tree, or simply watching wildlife gather at the waterhole. Enjoy the tranquility of the bush, indulge in spa treatments or pampering at the lodge, and relax in absolute privacy.
Then comes the excitement of the field. Non-hunters are encouraged to join the men on the stalk, walking quietly through the bush, experiencing the thrill of approaching wildlife in their natural habitat. It’s an opportunity to share the hunt, witness animals up close, and capture incredible photos of oryx, eland, and other African species. Janneman is patient and welcoming, helping everyone feel included in the experience — whether it’s observing the perfect stalk or being present for the magical moments of the African wilderness.
“I never imagined I’d be out on a hunt in Namibia, standing quietly in the bush, heart racing as the animals appear.
Sharing this adventure with my husband was a bucket list experience— and every moment at the lodge, from coffee under the trees to the pampering, made me fall in love with Africa.” — Sarah M., Kalahari Safari guest

It’s an adventure that brings couples together — sharing the wonder of the bush, the thrill of the hunt, and the serenity of the Kalahari, all in one unforgettable journey.
