Found this Lechwe with her new born baby just outside our Chalet door. She must have given birth about 30mins before we saw her. Nature is truly amazing and beautiful. Very clever of her as well to give birth around the lodge as there won't be aby jackals around there.
I have yet to write a report for my latest trip with LJ Safaris as my home computer crashed. I will get to that as soon as I can but it may be some time and will appear in the reports section under its own title. I had a very good time and do recommend this outfit.
Finished a 11 day Safari with a group of 8, 7 hunters and 1 observor. It was a fantastic and very memorable 11 days of hunting. Some great stalks, hunts and exceptional trophies taken!
Too many photos to post in one post so I will group the photos per hunter. Steve is a bow and rifle hunter. Best thing for him was starting his 11 day safari hunt with a bow kill of a beautiful Lechwe Bull and ending the hunt with a magnificent Nyala bow kill.
So looking forward to hunting with you again Steve!
J and his wife came down a few days earlier to visit a local town called Kenton on Sea to relax and also went to a Photographic Game Reserve near by.
His main animal was a Buffalo, we hunted hard for a couple of days and walked for miles. On the last day we had this Buffalo bull standing at 37 yards. One shot with his 470 and the bull was down.
His other favorite hunt on the 11 day safari was of his eland bull, we spotted them from far and started our stalk up a rocky mountain in the Karoo. Trying not to bump any other animals was challenging but we managed to get a little a head of the 6 Eland Bulls and waited patiently. When they came out, the bull was shot and the spiralled horn animal was down.
Mule deer and Colorado elk seasons almost done! Hunters driving farm roads, looking for racks, their PH driving them along, I ask that you not pull into my drive. The buck behind me, on the boundary line of the GMU somehow knows. The hunter laughs, I would invite you in to see my Searcy rifles but social distancing prevails, darkness arrives and the buck slides away into secret tree grove...
