It took nearly two years, but my local taxidermist did my blackbuck proud.

Here he is in my line of Exotics. He'd easily go in either the SCI gold or NA Rowland Ward book if I wanted to with straight measurement over 20", and around the curls breaking 30" . And here's the old American wild boar I finally put on the wall after 30 years of chasing them. Ah, the memories.

A beautiful Blackbuck, Congrats!

Lovely. How did it taste, BTW. My nephew said he liked it, but then--he didn't give me any. What would you liken the taste to?

Gorgeous Blackbuck!

I have no complaints. Blackbuck are a fine animal, but not large or fatty. I enjoyed all the meat I obtained from it.

Here's the boar from that trip. I suggest the Noonkester form for the best American boar forms.

That boar picture just doesn't want to load.

I love BB !! Yours also has great mass and character. I was able to hunt two free-range BB in Texas in the 90s. They are always tempting when I see a hunt for one.

BUT, I would argue :ROFLMAO: BB are not spiral-horn (characterized by the ridge running length of the horn), but instead ringed-horn animals that happen to spiral. Also, add Addax to the group, but I get your gist .

Fair argument while comparing it to a few things of each around my place. I guess it's like an aoudad, which gets called a sheep, but is more a goat with some sheep characteristics.

Be careful of hunting Chewore South, the area has been decimated.....

Curious about this. I hunted Chewore South with D&Y in September and they did tell me it was there last hunt there.

Which outfits shot it out?
