This is the reason why the Boers were known as excellent Marksman. They start hunting since they were able to walk and ride a horse, at about four years of age.

This hunter has already shot more kudu and impala than most experienced hunters have done in their life time. This young man receives home schooling ( and his brother) they both start the day every morning by shooting game browsing their crops in the far Limpopo Region. They both are able to skin their own game . When last visiting Hansie Minnaar on his farm this older hunter of the two boys has shot two kudus during that past week.
This young man shot this Nyala Bull during the past week.

Those that have hunted Blue wildebeest, know that they are born sick, and then get better with every bit of lead you hang on them.
So it was with this cow.
The first shot was a frontal quartering shot on the right shoulder, just a bit too lateral.
After penetrating the shoulder, it missed the engine room, but punctured rumen and guts to lodge in the flank on the far side.
The 800 gr slug really gave the beast life.
After a long follow-up, we came into a position where it was running straight at us, our hunter Phillip hit it in the chest at a distance of 15 metres.
That bullet ripped away the top of the heart, and lodged in the femur shaft, (the photos shared by Gert).

I hate to bother you....I own 2 of your books including British bore rifle. I was hoping you might have more 10 bore loads. For the heavier and later rifles. Any help would be appreciated.

I hope your hunting season has started off well. I am coming to Namibia for the 7th time in late April of 2022. I am bringing two friends who have never hunted outside of the USA. I have several questions, but before I write them all, I will wait to see if you receive this. Please give a shout................................best regards.........................Bill...............Idaho, USA
