I am new to this forum and have not made very many posts, I mostly read the forums.

Something I have found and absolutly love is when the AH members of this site catch one of these questionable hunt offers and rip into the guy. I consider myself a smart and ethical hunter, but, I am not as experienced on the African continent as I would like to be. You PH's probably have saved quite a few guys alot of money and heartache by calling these "fly by night outfits" and showing them for there true colors. I am sure that myself and others will remember these threads, and your names when the time comes to book the next hunting trip to Africa, so in a sense you guys just made money by helping others and saving them from crooks.

I commend all of you, great job, and keep on keeping on. Scott

Scott,

It serves as two purposes cleaning up the bad name South Africa especially got in the last couple of years from rotten apples and showing that there are honest Outfitters out there.

Hi Scott

Frederik said it perfectly, it is a double egged sword but if we stand together we can make the hunting industry and conservation the true winners here.

Best Regards
Louis van Bergen

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
