Will make it a short version, just got back from Tanzania and Zimbabwe with a client, we had a great time in our hunting concession, Hope you enjoy.

Dates: From 30 of September until October 20.

Calibers: 375, 416, 458, 500.

Trophies: Elephant, Buffalos, Puku, Hartebeest, Baboon, Warthog.

Areas Hunted:
Tanzania: Kilombero Valey
Zimbabwe: Zambezi Valley.

Just landed in dar es salaam and stayed in See Cliff Hotel great place to stay, next day off to camp to start hunting ASAP for buffalos to use them as bait for Leopard and Lion that where our main animals, we just got 10 days so wee need to move fast and hope for luck, found a first buff that I took down, heart pounding that rush, just perfect we spotted some good herds and some tracks of some dagga boys tried to catch up with them but wind was changing , weather was not the best!

And know we wait for them, next day we check but nothing in, also bad thing started to rain a lot, as you know cats don’t like rainy days, but we kept hunting, we got a puku very nice one:

2 Days have past, rain to its full action, we need fresh bait and decided to get a second buf fast, the rain has stop today so out we go! Bait where intact no sing of cats! Spotted a herd of buff meat time lets get one! Boom…

Let’s hang some fresh bait, rain on top of our head it stopped a few hours and the boom rain again, sported a hartebeest and took it.

Day pass but no cats around, saw a warthog and a baboon and took a shot, more fresh bait in different areas, today we see some cat tracks but only 3 day left.

ZIMBABWE:

Arrived to Zim great camp and no rain, of to track some elephants near the water we saw a lot of tracks and spotted some herds, took us some days to walk in a herd of cows and bulls heart pumping wind perfect we got in front of the only bull shootable plus we needed bait to put up for the next client that arrived next week, boom great shot great entrance, perfect timing.

How was the animal density in Kilombero?

Was there very much human / livestock pressure?

Thanks a lot, Animal Density is very high, Buff you can see 300 or more in a day, some great puku and other plains game as well, in the area we hunt we dont have that human pressure but some village near by.
