Hi All

Just returned form hunting LL1,LL2 and MT2 in Selous with Eric Pasanisi and PH Andre Roux
Arrival via Joburg into Dar Int Airport and flight direct in a Cessna to Barani Camp. Fantastic professional service from Helene to clear and CUT Red Tape, in and out both ways in less than 30min!!
Time of year was End Oct early Nov, 10 day hunt, 2 x Buff and plains game.
Game numbers were great and congregated around water holes. Daily Temp 35-40DegC
Camp and camping staff of a very high standard and food was typical East African hunting cuisine with soup at night, followed by three course meal.
Tents were spacious 9x5m with ensuite running hot and cold, cleaned daily with laundry service.
Cold drinks with Ice the whole time, any time, even on hunting car
New fully equipped Toyota LC with all the bells and whistles completely thought through and well maintained, cleaned and washed every night
Rifles used: Andre -- 470 Westley Richards, 450/400 Westley Richards -- Double
Myself -- 450/400 Rigby double and 416 Rigby both by Rigby, scoped 2-6 Variable Scope

Only hunted Buff bulls on foot, myself, Andre and 3 Masaai Trackers. Started at 04:00 till 19-20:00 at night
Lunch in the bush-- fantastic
Average walking 10-20km/day, with a wide selection of bulls to shoot.
Minimum requirement was 42" buff and two were shot, close range 20-30 yards
NB: Had a hangfire with a Federal 416 Rigby, VERY VERY pissed off about that, will NOT EVER buy that ammo again
Also took old Zeb stallion at 120m

All in all a fantastic well conducted hunt, done with utmost professionalism form PH Andre Roux

Wow...a hang fire while hunting buffs would be pretty scary!
Any rifle malfunction hunting buffs would be scary!

Congratulations on your hunt.

Hang fire would make things a little tense.

I'd love to see those Buffalo trophies....

Sounds likea special time. A hang fire doesn't sound like fun. That can cause a whole buch of unpleasent things to happen. Pics are fairly easy to post. We'd love to see a selection from your hunt. Bruce
