I took my Danzig Mauser in 8x57JS and my Ruger super Blackhawk stump shooting and dirt bank shooting rove yesterday. My daughter was rabbit hunting. while I just wanted an excuse to carry and shoot the new acquisitions.

The 6.4 pound Mauser was an absolute joy to carry. The trigger is 7.1 pounds. with the set it was 12.9 ounces. Great for target shooting but too light for the field. Although the set trigger gave the best accuracy.

The peep sight was dead nuts with the Hornady match ammo. And an inch high and right with the soft point S&B ammo.

I like the worn steel and wood. And love the amazing accuracy for a 110 year old rifle.

The Ruger was a pleasure to shoot and very accurate also. Fun, fun

If that old Mauser could talk…

Hope your daughter was successful with the rabbits.

Walking your own land with a classic gun and your kid hunting with you...fantastic.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
