I do live here in the middle of Sweden. Has now hunted some 60 year´s, most in Sweden but also in Poland, South-Africa and Namibia. There is one very big difference to hunt here, up in the North, You are left completly alone at Your stand, all hunters get "the day´s order" in the early morning, before the hunt start and there is often a lottery system of getting your stand, if You are lucky you get a generals stand or You can get a dead place. The very most important of the day is, not any kind of noise/sound whatsoever.
Very often there is one or more dogs who is specialiced to hunt the specific animal for the day´s hunt, exampel a Moose -dog never ever has to take up and follow a Roedeer.
It is a very big diffrence/experience to be alone at your stand as a guest from abroad, as it is for a Swedish hunter to have a guide half a meter beside You, saying "shoot the 11:th, from the left" Lars B
