I agree!
But I can not see it up here.
Where can I find it on the net?

You should be able to watch it on the history channel app.

Season 7, episode 1, of Alone "ALONE The Million Dollar Challenge" aired last night and it should be a good season. This season the winner must survive 100 days alone in the Arctic to claim the million dollar prize. ALONE is one of my favorite shows on TV, Thursday nights just got a little better.
We have just had the series where they were in the artic and the guy won who bow shot the moose and the wolveine kept getting his fat supply from the high stand he kept if on.
One of my favourite watches as well Art.

Hey Von Gruff, do you make Bowie knives??

Hey Von Gruff, do you make Bowie knives??
Since there are so many different knifes that are classified as bowies either by the make or the buyer, then yes the one I make may be called a bowie
These are some of the large knives that I can call bowies with blades from 7 to 9 inches.

And the only one I have left is this one with paper micarta and pearwood on 1075 with full flat grind

When going out I make sure my knife is sharp, then for touching the blade up after use I use this lightweight and very handy 2-stone Lansky sharpener.
It works well for me!

G'day Willem

Yes, that looks like a handy little knife sharpener, I shall check out the local Outdoor stores for one.(y)

I currently use a Swiss Combo Star when I am on the field, the main sharpening edge is excellent for really blunt poor quality blades, but it could tear a good quality blade to bits if the user is not familiar with how and when to use it. The opposite side has a smooth ceramic insert for everyday use, or the final touches.

All I can say, is you can never have enough portable knife sharpening tools, and I am always interested in trying new types.:)

Regards

Rob

Even with a high degree of primitive survival and bushcraft skills, you still need to carry a survival kit.
It’s hard to survive if you are ill or hurt.
Injury and illness level the playing field, leaving you just as vulnerable as a novice outdoor enthusiast.....[5xC's]

BRING THE BARE MINIMUM
If you’re looking for a minimalist approach to survival gear, get the following 5 items items in your small bag or on your person....
A space blanket, headlamp, lighter, knives and metal cup will take you pretty far.
Of course, your chances of survival will go up when you have more tools to work with, but the bare minimum is better than nothing.
The metal cup lets you boil water to make it safe to drink.
The Mylar/space blanket will quite likely keep you from freezing to death.
The headlamp gives you light and you can even use it to signal for help at night by flashing the light.
The lighter will give you a lifesaving fire.
