Making use of what you have available....

1/3 beeswax
1/3 Turpentine
1/3 Boiled linseed oil.

You can even replace turpentine with mentholated spirits (denatured alcohol) to the same ratios .

Melt together in double boiler, cast into carrying vessel.
This simple mixture is a brilliant preservative for wood, from ax to knife to spear handles.
Protecting wood extends its life as dryness or rot can cause critical failure.
Works on carbon blades, black-powder rifles to avoid rust.
Leather can also be treated BUT TEST FIRST.

This method of hunting has been past down from generation to generation since the beginning of time.

I used bigger headed wood screws directly into the wooden shaft flush with the spear blade ,top and bottom at the back.

Easy to remove for blade cleaning and sharpening also.

The blade shaft is tapered and keep it very secure, but the 2 screws just make it better as you don't get a second chance in hunting hogs with a spear, and I don't want to have to worry if the spear is going to hold up, but have 100% confidence in my hunting tool to concentrate fully on the hunt.

The 2 screws just make it that more secure in my opinion.

Do you know where to buy like a survival bag

Daniel, thank you for the question.

I think it will depend on your location/venue you will likely find yourself in to survive [which tools/equipment you will likely use/need?] and then get a survival bag to suit your needs. [pockets/water tight/size etc,]

Maybe first start your research at the other end and see what you want to take with you in the bag [weight?], and then get a suitable bag for all that?

To be able to use your survival tools well [skill] , and to 'read' the environment is maybe more important than the type of bag you have in my opinion.?

Amazon offer some very good bags in a verity of shapes and sizes and it's maybe worth to have a look there.

If you can maybe give a bit more info on your likely survival situation [rough camping?] , there are a lot of highly experienced members on this forum that would also be willing to help and assist out of their vast experience.
