Successfully shipping A Long Gun with New UPS Regulations

FYI - The shotgun I shipped on Monday via USPS arrived only on Wednesday. From the east coast to the west in 2 days. I've spoken with the FFL there and they have assured me it's in good condition. Although I have to admit that I do a hell of a job packing a firearm.

Any experience with shipping shipping a expensive firearm. I have a Heym I want to ship for repairs do I ask for $35k in insurance? I just got a policy with Collectibles insurance which covers the shipment. Any advise would be appreciated.
