Is that ok or will the spring weaken to much over time..?
Not good to store with snap caps in the chambers....I think it wise to get a pair of snap caps and have them in the chamber when storing. And of course pull the triggers when you do so. They're cheap and you won't have to worry.
In a humid environment I can see an issue. Mighty dry where Phil resides.Not good to store with snap caps in the chambers....

Here is my favorite ..
You can relieve the Springs if it makes you feel better ...But.. Springs only fatigue when they are being worked so every time you relieve a Spring you are working the spring..
Or get a horn striker block. very common for letting down mainsprings.
