Stop in for Supper, friend

Some old reliables tonight.
Grilled shrimp and backstrap, sauteed zucchini and Spanish rice.

I did whip up one hell of a horseradish cream sauce to go with the backstrap.

I’m doing smoked chicken wings for tonight, will be switching channels from Auburn/Florida , LSU/Ole Miss and Atlanta/Houston.

If you can find it, my outfitter sent me home with a grinder of "Oryx Salt." It is much more than salt, and is one of my very favorite spice blends. The other is Weaver's Grilling Dust.

Nothing fancy. It’s just me and my dogs on my little slice of heaven, “roughing it” tonight. Hot Italian sausages over the campfire, along with a few beers.
the dogs have already had 2 hotdogs each.

It's amazing how therapeutic "roughing it" isn't it? One of the best nights I've ever had was me alone in a metal building in the mountains. I had a nice cot, a homemade quilt, a real potbelly stove, and my cooler. I made jambalaya, and cornbread that night and didn't worry about a dang thing.

Absolutely!!
I’m staying on some property I own. I’ve only got a little over 10 acres here but there is no one around me! Rarely hear any noises not made by nature.
I do have my camper and generator here, but no running water. Going to be a nice night, so I’ll sleep with the windows open.

My FIL has a little cabin just outside of the town we live in. No electricity, just a wood stove for heat and cooking. The wife and I spend as many weekends as we can there during the winter. So relaxing and yes it’s where we always get our best sleep.

Now if can just keep the wife out of them until kickoff/ first pitch I’ll be happy!
Toss in some homemade Alabama white sauce they should be good!

@deewayne2003, that’s a pretty plate!
Last night we had a deer pot roast, made a gravy and added 4 leftover grilled dove breast chopped up. Mashed some potatoes and it was delicious.

@Hunt anything Thank you, that was dinner last night and today it was 88 so we celebrated the cold snap by making chili and cornbread for lunch.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
Gents, if you book and pay your deposit before the end of this year , you can have the bigger cull package for the 2026 price! https://www.africahunting.com/threa...griffiths-safaris-starting-at-us-2-560.96285/
