Heading to Tanzania later this year for a hunt and trying to sort out whether I should bring my starlink dish or not. I know Starlink is not licensed there yet, and I can’t get a straight answer online on whether a Starlink Roam from another country actually connects once you’re in-country or if it just gets blocked. If it does work, I’d like to bring it.

Has anyone actually brought their own Starlink dish into a Tanzania camp and fired it up? Did it work, and did it hold the whole hunt? Thanks!

If you are far enough north it will connect to Kenya. I know people bring them in, even though they are prohibited.

My understanding is Starlink Roam will work as long as you don't exceed so many days and I don't remember the number of days, sorry. That said, I did not need to use Starlink in Maasiland. Cell towers everywhere, used cellular data.

I believe Namibia it works for 30 days before it shuts off, I would guess it’s the same in Tanzania

I'll take the Vortex scope cover you have listed in the Pay it Forward thread.
