Have a look at the colour of the Hyenas coat and the colour of the grass behind Moosa.
You tell me how he saw that Hyena in the grass. I never saw it until it stepped onto the trail and hesitated.
Not sure if it was the first or second Spotted Hyena ever taken on the reserve.
A special trophy.
I do hope to hunt this animal one day!
One of my favourite animals in Africa.
Please share you Hyena Pictures with us!
Wow these things are gnarly looking! Would love to take one if the chance presented itself one day! I saw a pic (I think from @BRICKBURN ) of a full rug with open mouth on one of these things and it looked awesome!
Reedy there are plenty in the areas they are hunted, but a special permit it necessary that needs to be applied for in advance of the hunt.
They are great trophies and a great hunt
So the spotted hyena fit CITES, TOPS, or another category?
No, thats all @ArmyGrunt
I guess I should re phrase. Which permit category? I'm familiar with the idea of CITES and TOPS, but I don't really know who fits which. I recall my black gnu was TOPS.
Its a TOPS permit @ArmyGrunt
I have a great looking Hyena rug on the wall.
