Three Aggies, two Arkansas Razorbacks, and one Tennessee Volunteer get on a plane to Africa… only time will tell if the punchline will include a comical lack of parachutes, as Team Fet is preparing for another adventure to the Dark Continent!

This excursion will be slightly different from past exploits (see Jfets Leopard and Bear posts) as the ultimate trophy will be the introduction of the new wives to the thrills of Africa. Marguerite and Katelyn Fetner are the lovely wives of myself and Ty Fetner, and after having to endure countless reminisces of time in the African bush, have decided that they needed to see if it could live up to the growing legend.

Enter the ever prepared John and Karen (Jfet and PB) with a great opportunity: an unexpected auction winning of a 10 day hunt with Thormahlen and Cochren Safaris in the Limpopo area of South Africa for two hunters and observers. Flowers, boxes of chocolates, and a promise to at least consult them in regards to the taxidermy plans secured the “Yes dear” that we needed to begin the planning of this great adventure. We invite you to join the six of us on this journey that, fingers crossed, will result in the girls contracting the ever dangerous and incurable “Africa Bug”, forcing us to return soon!

Hunt:

Thormahlen and Cochren Safaris

Limpopo Region

6/23/18-7/4/18

Cast of Characters:

Wyatt and Marguerite (Maggie) Fetner
Ty and Katelyn Fetner
John and Karen Fetner

Good luck to all of you.

Hope you folks have a great adventure!

Wish you all the best !

You know the Buffalo are graduates of U of T. You can tell by the Hook em Horns! They will be happy to have some Aggies to play with!

Good luck on the hunt! Hope it turns out better than y’all so 2017 football season!!

Roll Tide!

All kidding aside, have a great time and enjoy it. Going with friends like that you’re bound to have a blast regardless of animals harvested.

Geaux Tigers and the hell with the Tide.

Have a great hunt! Can't wait to hear about it in detail!

Great teaser of the hunt to come! Best of luck and can't wait to hear how it goes.

Good luck John!

It will be an awesome adventure I'm sure - we look forward to hearing all about it.............

Good luck on the hunt!

Let me guess which 3 of the group are the Aggies!

T-30 Days until departure!

Anticipation of a hunt has many similar qualities to your more mildly-mannered black holes. Apart from sucking all focus, attention, and desire from the other "responsible" activities (ie work), it also stretches and elongates time as you approach closer to the departure date! Little did Steven Hawking realize that he merely put to words and mathematics what all hunters instinctively know.

For now, Team Fet will console ourselves with the arrangement of final packing lists. A huge thanks to the wonderful ladies of @Travel Express for sending our rifle permits to make our entry into Dubai as painless as possible. More updates to follow!

Black holes... elongated time... You must be talking about taking 90 high school seniors to Six Flags:A Banana Sad:

@Jfet That is actually the circle of Purgatory that Dante forgot to write about

Then Dante has Nostradamus beat hands down on predicting the future.
