SOUTH AFRICA: Has Anyone Hunted With Mkulu African Hunting Safaris Pieter Kriel?

Has anyone hunted with Pieter Kriel, Mkulu African Hunting Safaris in South Africa? I'm planning a Buffalo hunt in Limpopo Region with this outfitter. Please share your experience!

I have not hunted with him but have booked for buffalo in 2018. We correspond a lot. I like him so far.

I have conversed with Pieter in the past. I suspect he would be very good to hunt with given my conversations with him. Over on the other network you can do a search and his name comes up in several hunt reports. Bruce

I am on a few of those videos with him. My father and I did a hunt with him a year ago from Thursday. It was truly a great experience which I will never forget! If anybody would like more information regarding mkulu or Pieter you can PM me

My son Alex and I hunted with Pieter in March of 2016. It was our first African hunt and with all first hunts we were nervous. As you know Pieter will answer all your questions. We went for a father son plainsgame hunt. Pieter is very knowledgeable in his animals and trophy size. He is very easy to talk to and will try to accommodate all your wishes. The father son picture on Mkulu web is my son and me. The giraffe and Kudu videos are us also. My Kudu was a little over 55". I know after he sees this he will reply also. Alex keeps corresponds with pieter regularly. I am Trying to talk my wife into a Buff hunt for 2018 also for our 25th anniversary but she wants the 5star hunting lodge. I will see what Pieter can come up with. If you have any specific questions PM me.

@ all: Many thanks for reply. From my conversation with him I have a good feeling that he's a reliable and very professional hunter. Only one point worries me. I readed in another forum with hunting reports that two hunters had big problems with shipping of the trophies because he did not the paperwork. I asked him about this and I hope he can explain.

@ all: In the meantime, I have received a reasonable explanation from Pieter Kriel. I think the issue about the two complaints in another forum seems clarified.

I had a great time with Pieter Kriel. He is very good to hunt with. Professional and fun. He is well organized, knows the bush and has good staff and equipment.
We hunted 4 cape buffalo. All one shot kills at 30-50 yds. I will book again for 2020. I have hunted in Africa 9 different times. Brian
