My wife and I took our first plains game safari to South Africa with Zander Osmers Safaris. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, it was an amazing adventure. The accommodations and food were excellent. Zander Osmers doesn’t usually mix hunting parties, so we were the only party at the lodge. We would recommend them without reservation. African Hunting.com was an excellent resource, there is a lot of useful information on this site. Lori with Travel Express handled our flight arrangements. My wife and I shoot left handed, so rental firearms aren’t a viable option. Henry with Rifle Permits made it an easy task. The Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck, Warthog, Wildebeest were taken in Limpopo. Our Springbuck and Blesbuck were taken in Mpumalanga, a couple hour drive from the lodge. My wife Tishea took her warthog, Impala and Springbuck with a 30-06 shooting 165 gr Swift A-Frames, the Kudu and Wildebeest were taken with a 375 H&H shooting 250 gr Swift A-Frames, the remainder were taken with a 300 Win Mag shooting 180 gr Swift Sciroccos. We took several sightseeing trips to break up the hunting, Kruger National Park, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and some other local attractions. Every day that we hunted we saw a lot of game. I have read and dreamed of hunting in Africa for years, it was a dream come true. We are planning a return trip.
