Not a big internet poster, but I'll give it a try:
Recently completed my first hunt in Africa with Game 4 Africa in the East Cape , hunting with PH Wik. Had a outstanding hunt and took 12 animals. Wik has the best game eyes I’ve ever been around; we saw between 150-200 different Kudu bulls over the hunt. The only animal I did not get on my “list” was a warthog, because we were being really picky after shooting several not on the “list"

Accommodations & food were top rate (mostly ate game by request, Springbuck is my new favorite game meat). They also own a butchery in town so the meat/trophy care was immaculate. Watching the animals in the irrigated field over a beer each evening was relaxing. I will say that our Montana beer is superior to South Africa beer....

This was my first guided hunt, having only hunted public land in the mountain states; so I had some concerns about high fences or “tame” animals. All the properties we hunted were quite large, and the bush thick – fences were a non-factor. Can't wait to come back, though the bank account says otherwise....

Thanks for the effort.
Glad the fences were not an issue.
Congratulations on a successful hunt.

Thanks for the write up. Good to know all went well as we will be hunting there 2-weeks from this Friday...not like I am counting days or anything.

He went for the rifle rental option and used our Sako 85. 7mm Rem Mag,
Bullets Federal 160gr. All one shot kills

You have some nice trophies. Lots of animals in a 1 week hunt. Congrats on them. Looks like a great East Cape Kudu and I love the mass on the Impala. You did well.

I will say that our Montana beer is superior to South Africa beer....

Perhaps...............but South African hunting weather is vastly superior to Montana hunting weather and more conducive to wanting/needing to drink beer...........:)

Moose Drool vs Castle............that's a toss up, as long as they are both cold, I'm not choosy.

Congratulations on an excellent hunt!

Thanks for the replies, and yes, I'm heading back in 2021 with a good friend for a longer trip. Only complaint I have about Wik is that he's more anal about photos than my wife... but appreciate them now

Yes, I am interested in some A Frames to load, if they are the 300 grain or other that will work for Cape Buff. I need enough to work up a load and sight in, then carry over there

Greetings Mr. Rutledge. My apologies for the latent reply, cell/email prohibited during working hours, apx 72 a week, yikes! I just wanted to thank you for keeping me in mind for possible 577 loads. I actually purchased a few rounds, however, the firearm is still on the fence at this point.
Many Thanks, again. Regards, Dan.
