SOUTH AFRICA: An Awesome Hunt With NICK BOWKER SAFARIS! Hunting The Little Ones...

I returned home last week from an absolutely wonderful hunt with @NICK BOWKER SAFARIS. This was my second trip out of Nick’s Hopewell lodge. I’ve always been enamored with all of the little critters running around in east cape, like the steenbok, duiker, bushbuck and rhebok, so this time around I was able to focus on them. It was so rewarding! It was also great fun and a learning experience for me. Their behaviors and the approach to hunting them was an all new learning experience. In particular, the “vallie” or grey rhebok was a real challenge (at least for me) and it was such a rewarding hunt.

I can’t thank Nick, Ben and Ryan enough (and Elizabeth). I originally discovered Nick by researching outfitters here at africahunting.com. Nick has nothing but positive reviews and I cannot recommend him enough. Seriously, I get nothing for saying this ! Nick is reasonably priced, he’s genuine and honest and he’ll make you feel at home.

One thing that I wanted to mention is that there are more than one Bowker website. Nick’s website is https://nickbowkerhunts.com/ There is other website https://bowkerafricanhunts.com/ which is not Nick’s, it’s owned by one of Nick's relatives. I mention this as I had a hunting buddy that wanted to join me on my trip - he was interested in a buffalo. My buddy Brian contacted https://bowkerafricanhunts.com/ and asked if he could join me on my hunt with Nick. Brian was told Nick was full the week I would be there. We were disappointed and Brian was redirected to a different guide and lodge by Nick’s relative. I asked Nick about this and he never saw the email. Nick had no cancellations and he Nick wasn’t even half full during my hunt. Very disappointing. If you want to contact the real Nick Bowker, his email is info@nickbowkerhunts.com.

I shot an exceptional Vallie with Ben last September. Nick Bowker safaris is one of the best outfits I’ve hunted with and Ben is an exceptional PH!! You’ll be hard pressed to find a better experience and hunt in the East Cape. Congrats on your hunt.
