I got a Shotkam over the summer for my shotguns. It's really designed for birds at 25-45 yards but does okay with ground game. 100 yards is pushing the limits of digital zoom even when starting with a 4k picture. Shotkam automatically slows the video captures to 1/3 speed because that's the speed they say most reflects how we perceive the world when we're shooting.

For the deer video below, I sped-up the first video segment to real time and zoomed slightly to 1080p. The second segment is zoomed in more but at Shotkam's native speed. Then I really slowed for the third stretch. The .410 mount works on my rifle but Shotkam says that most thick-barrelled rifles will need the 28 gauge mount. BTW - it is easy to forget to plug my gun in the charger when I get home late in the evening.

As a stand alone - it's good for keeping a memory of a hunt. For birds or clays, it's a great training tool for misses. If a hunt is being videoed, then this makes an okay splice-in even if higher quality video is used. It really shows things from the hunter's perspective.

Great videos, I ought to get one of those cameras for duck hunting

Appreciate you sharing these! Enjoyed watching them.
