In my normal fashion, had a buddy whose kid needed a shotgun and I sold him my CZ Quail at a ridiculously low price. He is on a fixed income and God has blessed me. I know, that you all agree, when a kid wants to shoot you will give it up. Haha.

Looking for a new 20 gauge O/U. It will be for guided quail and pheasant hunts. Although the birds are pen raised, the pen is 30 ft tall and 100 yards long. So, the birds fly almost like wild birds.

I need something with a short LOP. I am 5' 5". I kind of want something a little fancy looking. So, I got an e-mail on the Pointer Acrius from Legacy. It is a beautiful firearm. It is Turkish made. It is super inexpensive. I don't want to buy junk, but reading reviews, folks have thousands of rounds through them without issue and the owners love them.

Thoughts on this or other O/U shotguns with a short LOP?

Hard to find, but the Webley & Scott 920 is available with both a “youth” and a full length stock.. my 5’6” daughter started with a 920 with the youth stock attached.

While a Brit firm, the 920 is Turkish made…

I feel it’s a whole lot of gun for the money if you can find one.. Cabelas imported them for a while, but they stopped several years ago… I’m not sure if anyone else has imported them in numbers..

The ad below is for one currently listed in Australia… $1899 Australian dollars is about $1250 US dollars…

I’m just wondering if you could have a full length cut down to fit your desired length-if so, any brand would work. I would think a local gunsmith could do the fitting and repair/replace-?

Check out the B. Rizzini Venus, it's advertised as a "Ladies" shotgun but the dimensions should work for you. B. Rizzini and Ceasar Guerini make some of the best shotguns available in todays market.

I'm 5'5" as well, and I shoot regular size stock rifles/shotguns without any issues. I would try and shoot and see if the gun does fit you. Or, have someone measure you to make sure what is your true LOP.

BTW, I found this while doing a search on the shotgun @mdwest suggested.

I am not built for off the shelf shotguns and have had great success using Graco out of Arkansas to cut the stock. A local smith might be an option but no one nearby offers that service. Having stock cut for you gives many more choices. Good luck.

I'll take the Vortex scope cover you have listed in the Pay it Forward thread.
