I have some buddies who have invested a lot in scent blocker gear. I think it’s useless. I may, if I remember, wash my hunting clothes in scent free soap, but I don’t always remember. I do remember, however, this from a book on training dogs to blood track. When we walk, we shed a lot of skin. I think the trackers call it scurf, and dogs latch onto that invisible scent trail. And there’s nothing you can really do to limit the trail of dead skin. My Drahthaar had a great nose. I imagine prey animals have even better senses. I’ve always just tried to work the wind to my advantage, and left it at that.
