Good day AH community,
We are sure everyone is looking looking forward to a fruitful 2021 hunting season, made all the more better by the increased number of trophy animals that should be running around due to the deficit of hunters hosted in 2020! Our Sable hunting is something we are very proud of and we have some truly incredible genetics on our properties, not only in horn length but also in their coloration. Our bulls are all that classic pitch black coloration upon reaching maturity, and this is something we have focused on through years of management! We hunt large self sustaining herds on our various exclusive properties. Some of which are over 12 000 acres. On one property alone we have a self sustaining population of over 120 animals. It is truly fantastic to drive along and see breeding herds of Sable, lone bulls, bachelor groups and nursery groups. Our areas range in distance from 2 and a half to 4 hours drive from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg where we will collect you the client personally. Our camps/lodges range from 5 star lodges to a beautiful tented camp in the classic old school "Hemingway style".
Just as an interesting side note the Sable antelope used to be an animal only reserved for royalty and thus it was named a "Royal Antelope". it is however now another one of South Africa's major conservation success stories! Due to years of intensive breeding and population redistribution this once rare species is now becoming more and more accessible to the average hunter.
